Procedure for delayed audits due to COVID-19

The current situation with the Corona virus means that, in some cases, planned audits, including for the CO2 Performance Ladder, cannot be carried out on location. As an accredited scheme, SKAO refers to the latest version (April 7, 2020) of the explanatory document ( T051 ) that the Accreditation Council has published on its website for such situations.

This English-language document entitled 'management of extraordinary events or circumstances that affect RvA accredited organisations and their customers' states that audits have the option of having them carried out remotely. The choice depends on a risk analysis made by the Certifying Body on a case-by-case basis. If annual or reassessments cannot be carried out on site or remotely, they must be resumed as soon as possible after the situation has been lifted, but no later than 6 months after the original mandatory period.
