Workshop CO2 Performance Ladder at Climate Chance summit
SKAO will give a workshop at this event, on Wednesday Sept 28th, 11.00 – 12.30 AM.
Title: The power of public procurement to stimulate sustainability and positively impact the climate. Green Public Procurement is a powerful leverage to stimulate sustainability. Through tenders, public authorities can stimulate climate action by awarding tenders to companies that show ambition in sustainability. This workshop focuses on some successful examples of green public procurement (difficulties encountered, keys success factors, duplication...).
SKAO will present the CO2 Performance Ladder concept and gives this workshop with the following partners:
- Reseau Grand Ouest: an organization that promotes sustainable and environmental friendly procurement in the region Grand Ouest in France
- City of Lorient will explain how they became one of the first big French cities on green electricity
- ICLEI will explain the SPP project and their role
- City of Copenhagen: how do they manage their carbon emissions
